Vehicle Inspection officers (VIOs) in Dutse Bwari, Abuja on Thursday in an attempt to apprehend traffic defaulters struggled and dragged the steering with a driver asking him to park, a development Blueprint learnt caused a gridlock and accident in the area.
Though as of the time of filling this report, no formal statement from the agency clarifying the incident, residents disclosed to Blueprint that the activities of the VIO officers at Suckerle roundabout caused a driver to hit a commercial motorcyclist, carrying a woman.
Blueprint also gathered that some vehicles collided in the process.
