Nigerian singer, Peter Okoye, has opened up on the divorce saga of Moroccan footballer, Achraf Hakimi.
Blueprint had reported that Hakimi’s wife, Hiba Abouk filed for divorce after the footballer allegedly cheated on her while she and their children were away in Dubai and is allegedly demanding half of his assets.
However, she was informed by the lawyers that her husband has no legal assets, as all his properties are in his mother’s name.
In response to the scandal, Peter Okoye stated that he does not understand why men are celebrating this story.
He believes that people should not marry women they do not trust, unless they expect their wife to suffer after the divorce.
“#MyOwnViewsAndOpinion I don’t understand why most men are rejoicing over this Hakimi story? Like I don’t get it.
The truth is bitter but needs to be told. If you don’t trust her then don’t marry as simple as that. Or are you expecting your wife to suffer after divorce?” he wrote.
