The Chairman of Kudan Local Government, Hon Dauda Ilya Abba,  has said that the political  fortunes of the PDP has suffered a setback,  with the resignation of Hon Sanusi Magaji Kudan as the ward chairman of Alhaji Isa Ashiru, the 2023 gubernatorial candidate of the party.

In statement issued on Sunday, the Chairman commended Hon Magaji Kudan, popularly known as Mai Kwando, ‘’for  abandoning a sinking ship that is headed for the bottom of the sea politically.’’

Hon Ilya Abba further described Mai Kwando’s resignation as ‘’a bold step in the right direction,   in your effort to serve the people on a better and bigger  platform.’’

The statement advised the former ward chairman to pitch his tent with  the All Progressives Congress(APC), which is the  ‘’political party  that has been impacting positively on the lives of  your constituents.’’

The Chairman of Kudan local government warned  the African Democratic Congress(ADC)  not celebrate the exit of Mai Kwando  because ‘’this is not your catch. His true home is the APC, where he has always belonged.’’

The statement further said that ‘’I humbly invite Mai Kwando  to come back home to the APC — the party of progress and hope. Your place is waiting and together we will build a stronger Kudan LGA.’’

Hon Ilya Abba maintained that with the wave of defections from other parties into APC in Kaduna State, Governor Uba Sani’s re-election in 2027 is just a matter of time, adding that his rural transformation, Human Capital Development and the completion of inherited projects are evident all over the 23 local governments of the state.
