The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has officially closed its 2025 recruitment portal after receiving an overwhelming 1,909,995 applications for just 30,000 available positions.

Although the exercise was scheduled to end on August 11, the portal stopped accepting submissions a day earlier, on August 10. Authorities say shortlisted candidates will be contacted in the coming weeks via email and SMS for the next stage of the process.

In a statement, the board thanked applicants for their interest and commitment to serving the nation, urging them to monitor their communication channels and regularly check the official portal for updates.
