Over 300 illegal immigrants arrested in Adamawa

Adamawa state command of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) has said that the closure of the North-east borders by military authorities was still in force, stressing that it had so far arrested and repatriated over 300 illegal immigrants caught in various part of the state.
The state controller of the NIS, Mr. Rauf Adegboye, told Blueprint that the command was seriously working round the clock to enforce federal government closure of borders and secured all border in the state from the influx of foreigners and illegal immigrants into the country.
He assured Nigerians of the commitment and determination of the Service to partner with other security agencies to ensure that the current security challenges bedeviling the country, especially in the North-east zone was nipped in the bud.

According to him, the command have mapped out new methods and strategies of securing the borders leading to various successes recorded so far in recent times and called on the people, especially those leaving in border communities to cooperate with his men in the discharge of their responsibilities.
