Ogun: Amotekun boost personnel, set to train 500 new recruits

The Ogun State Security Network Agency, coded named Amotekun Corps has announced the commencement of training for candidates who have successfully passed the recent recruitment process.

The Corps Commander, Brig. Gen. alade Adedigba, (rtd) in a statement made available to Blueprint, stated that the training was part of the agency’s commitment to strengthening the operational capacity and ensuring effective maintenance of law and order within the State.

“The training initiative, which is in line with Amotekun standard practice, is designed to equip the newly recruited personnel with the necessary skills and knowledge for operational efficiency and effective discharge of their duties.

“Shortlisted candidates who are expected to report for the training exercise scheduled to commence from Sunday, 6th to Friday, to 18th July, 2025, at the NYSC Orientation Camp, Sagamu by 8:00am, are encouraged to adequately prepare for this essential training, arriving on time to facilitate a smooth induction process”, the statement reads.

Adedigba, while congratulating the successful candidates, however urged all recruits to adhere to the instructions provided and fully cooperate with the camp officials throughout the training period to ensure its success. 

The recruitment and training are coming on the heels of the governor’s directives about two months ago, after the passing out parade of 690 newly trained Corps operatives, reflecting the government’s unwavering commitment to enhancing security measures for all residents of Ogun state.
