Wolves have finalised the £24m signing of Nigerian striker Tolu Arokodare from Belgian club Genk.

The Nigeria international has agreed a four-year contract at Molineux.

Currently rooted to the bottom of the Premier League after three straight defeats, Wolves have turned to Arokodare to bolster their attacking options.

The 24-year-old forward scored 21 goals in the Belgian Pro League last season to claim the Golden Boot and will provide support for Norway striker Jorgen Strand Larsen.

Larsen himself had been the subject of transfer interest from Newcastle, who saw bids of £50m and £55m rejected by Wolves last week.

Arokodare scored 41 goals in 113 appearances for Genk following his 2023 move from Latvian side Valmiera. He has also netted once in four appearances for Nigeria.

Before joining Genk, Arokodare’s career took him from Valmiera — where he scored 22 goals in 34 games — to loan spells with Bundesliga side FC Köln and French club Amiens, where he spent two years on loan and scored 21 goals.

This season, he had already featured five times for Genk, scoring once, before completing his move to the Premier League.
