Action continues in maiden edition of the U-19 Nigeria Youth League Cup (NYLC) Tuesday across the nation with table topping Kano Pillars seeking to extend their lead on the log table when they entertain Plateau United Fc of Jos in what promises to be an explosive encounter. The encounter has already set tongue wagging in the ancient city among the football loving fans.
The Sai Maisugida side are on top of the Northern Conference with 26 points after 13 matches while Plateau United fourth on the log with 20 points.
In Abuja, at the MKO National Stadium, Legacy Stars FC will try Mailantarki Care for size in another mouth watering encounter. Legacy Stars are 10 on the log with 12 points while Mailantarki are 7th with 16 points. A win for either side will definitely catapult them to a better standing on the log.
Other matches in the Northern Conference include the Jos derby between Plateau Jets and Mighty Jets in Jos, Joecas Football Academy will take on Kwara Football Academy ,while Grassroot Football Talents will tango with ABS.
In the Southern Conference, Bucknor FC will face off with Shuffle Select Football Academy while Atlantic Business will face Bayelsa United in what promises to be a dicey encounter.
Other matches include, Austen Plus versus Eagles Stars and R2 Finesse Football Academy and Enyimba Fc will tango.
Sunshine Stars of Akure are on top of the log in the Southern Conference with 30 points followed closely by Atlantic Business Fc with 20 points.
The NYLC is on the home stretch with Robinson Adakosa piloting the affairs of the league with the season expected to end in April.
