Nwobodo attributes political parties’ wrangling to lack of internal democracy, sound ideology

A former chairman of the Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC), Barrister John Nwobodo, has posited that the crisis most political parties in the country are facing is as a result of lack of internal democracy and sound ideology.

Nwobodo, the Protem National Chairman of ‘I Love Nigeria’ political association stated this while briefing journalists in Enugu, Enugu state, on the letter it forwarded to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for registration as a political party.

He pointed out that one significant thing about ‘I Love Nigeria’ political association is that it is the real coalition of patriotic Nigerians, rather than a coalition of politicians who fell out of favour with the ruling party or internally displaced politicians.

The former governorship aspirant under the Accord Party in Enugu state promised that when their association is registered as a political party and wins the governorship, it will provide free education from primary school to university levels.

“Amidst growing concerns about lack of ideology and internal democracy among political parties, I Love Nigeria has come to fill the gap. When registered as a political party, it shall offer the missing link in the Nigerian political landscape.

“It is the real coalition of patriotic Nigerians. It is not the coalition of politicians who fell out of favour with the powers that be or internally displaced politicians.  It is a coalition of Nigerians that truly care about the welfare and security of citizens; it is the real coalition against corruption, hunger, poverty, diseases, human right abuses and kleptocracy,” he stated.
