The National Universities Commission (NUC) has lauded the Management of Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University Lapai (IBBUL) for providing world class facilities for the smooth take off of some facilities at the university in the 2024/2025 academic session.
The commission gave the commendations during facility assessment tour of the university weekend.
The resource inspection teams led by the director, Academic Planning, National Universities Commission (NUC), Mallam Abubakar Girie, expressed satisfaction with the speedy growth of the university adding that the take off of the new faculties would further enhance the academic and infrastructural development of the institution.
He said: “NUC use this opportunity to commend the management of Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai, for ensuring adequate preparations toward the takeoff of Faculty of Law and Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the Institution in the next academic session.”
He stated that Faculty of Law complex being constructed, when completed will be a model and largest in Nigerian universities, adding that, “the complex was well structured and well organised, with all the required facilities and adequate offices for both teaching and non teaching staff with Moot Court, Law Clinic, Judge’s Chamber, Law Library and e-law library in the building.”
Also, the team leaders of the two faculties, Professor Maxwell Michael and Professor Ibrahim Mohammed Sule, commended the management of the university for strictly adhering to the rules of establishing and commencement of the Law and Pharmaceutical Sciences programmes.
