The operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Ondo state command, has arrested a 50-year- old man, Audulahi Kamarudeen, for allegedly defiling a 10-year- old school girl in an uncompleted building at Adelabu Street, Danjuma, Akure, Ondo state.
This was made known in a statement signed by the command’s spokesman, Olufemi Omole, in Akure. The command’s helmsman, Commandant Eweka Edenabu, said the suspect, a driver by profession, was arrested on Sunday.
Further investigation revealed that the man had sexually harassed another 8-year- old girl some weeks earlier.
The two victims are with the NSCDC Antihuman Trafficking and Irregular Migration Unit and the unit is currently liaising with the Ministry of Women Affairs for safe custody and Protection of the victims.
Investigation revealed that Kamarudeen used to come for relaxation in the same compound where the children live. The 10-year- old girl lamented on how the 50-year- old Kamarudeen covered her mouth and nose while penetrating her from behind.
Presently, investigation is ongoing and the confessional statement of the suspect revealed that the girls were familiar to him while semen was also seen on one of the victims pant.
Consequently, the two girls have been taken to the Federal Medical Center Annex in Oda Road, Akure, for necessary medical examination. The spokesman said results indicated that there was attempted penetration through the anus of the 10-year- old girl.
