Officers of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Wednesday foiled attempts by eight suspected abductors to kidnap a foreigner on his farm in Ibadan.
Oyo state NSCDC Commandant, CC Michael Adaralewa, who made this known in Ibadan on Thursday said during the invasion of the foreigner’s farm, one of the suspected kidnappers was shot dead.
CC Adaralewa disclosed that the suspected kidnappers numbering eight, gained entry into the farm to kidnap the owner who is a foreigner but had to engage the gallant NSCDC officers in gun duel at Easy Gate Farm along Abanla Ogunmakin road, Ibadan.
The NSCDC state commandant then called on the people of the state to join hands with security operatives by giving credible information to them about what is happening in their jurisdiction anytime they suspect anybody with bullet wound in other to arrest other members of the kidnap gang that escaped with bullet injuries.
“We are created to protect you, if you see something, please say something,” he said.
