NPFL: Ogunbote confirms Shooting Stars’ departure

Gbenga Ogunbote have announced his departure from Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, club, Shooting Stars.

Shooting Stars confirmed the sacking of its technical crew this week as part of the club’s restructuring drive.

Ogunbote was in charge of the team for three seasons before his disengagement.

The experienced tactician took to the social media to thank the supporters for making his stay a success.

“My time with @ShootingSc has officially come to an end. I want to thank the fans,  my players, technical crew, backroom staffs, and everyone who supported me throughout this journey. Your love never went unnoticed. ,” he wrote on X.

Meanwhile, the Oluyole Warriors are expected to make Ogunbote’s successor on Friday.

Former handler of the team, Edith Agoye, and Yemi Olanrewaju are the two main contenders for the position.
