Non-oil exporters association inaugurate board today

The Network of Practising Non-oil Exporters of Nigeria (NPNEN) is set to inaugurate its board of trustees billed for September 15, 2020.

The launch in Lagos March 2020 created a surge of excitement among stakeholders.

During the launch, a keynote speaker, Mr Olusegun Awolowo, described NPNEN as a powerful advocacy group that would help NEPC  to present a practitioner’s perspective to government on what should be done to help increase exports from across the country.

Since the launch, the network has been relentless in advocacy for the creation of a business-friendly environment in which the non-oil export sector can thrive and grow.

Also, through its steering committee, NPNEN has  been laying the foundation for an inclusive hub of inter-connected players in the sub sector for the creation of an enabling environment.

A member of the board of trustees, Mr Femi Boyede said, “NPNEN will leverage on the diversity of its membership  and full representation from every segment of the non-oil export value-chain to periodically provide the relevant agencies of government with research and evidence-based inputs into the development of virile policies and programmes. This is to foster the nation’s export performance. We are thankful to PDF-bridge for bequeathing this all-important umbrella body to Nigeria’s non-oil export sector.”

Members of the board to be inaugurated are Prince Adetokunbo Kayode, former labour and productivity minister, Aisha Abubakar, former women affairs minister, Olufemi Boyede, Ede Dafione, Dr Mrs Omolara Akanji and others.
