NITT partners aviation sector

The Nigerian Institute of Transport Technology (NITT), Zaria will continue to partner Aviation sector in training aviation workers on Airport operation management.
Director General of the Institute, Dr. Aminu Musa Yusuf has said at the closing ceremony of customised training for staff of Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) held at the Institute, recently.
This is contained in a statement by the Institute’s spokesman, Mr. Paul Msheliza.
He explained that safety was at the core of International Civil Aviation Organisation activities which emphasised regular training and capacity building of manpower.
Dr Musa represented by Director, Transport School, Dr Abimbola Odumosun while thanking Management of NCAA for sending its staff for the training, noted that aviation was a delicate industry and should therefore conform to global norms and standard as enunciated in International Civil Aviation Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPS).

He stressed the need for training and retraining of Aviation staff to keep abreast with recent developments in the industry which NITT has the mandate and expertise to deliver.
He charged the participants to be good ambassadors of the Institute and make the best use of the knowledge they had acquired.
Also Speaking Director Training, Mr. Bayero Farah, stated that in order to give the best possible knowledge, experts were assembled from within the Institute while other very technical modules were outsourced.
He asserted that the objectives of the training were largely achieved.
The participants who spoke through  Mr. Andy Ejembi said that the training was an eye opener as they were exposed to the rudiments of airport operations and management, he noted that they had been equipped with practical and useful skills.
“This instrumental to helping us carry out our duties and responsibilities as well as making us feel we can actually make a difference in our respective fields”. Said the participants.
