As the preliminary round draw for the 2025–26 CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup takes centre stage in Tanzania tomorrow, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has unveiled its latest club rankings.
No Nigerian club made it into the top 20, with Rivers United FC and Enyimba FC ranked 24th and 35th respectively.
In the 2025 CAF five-year ranking, Rivers United retained their position as Nigeria’s top-ranked club and secured the second spot in West Africa, underscoring their growing stature on the continent.
With the Champions League draw imminent, Rivers United will be aiming to build on their ranking and strengthen their competitive edge ahead of the continental campaign.
