A South-west chieftain of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, weekend, said Nigeria needs adequate census data for planning

The NNPP chieftain in a statement Saturday to commemorate this year’s World Population Day stated that regular census exercise will enable the country to get adequate data for appropriate planning for the development of the country.

Ambassador Ajadi added that the time has come for the federal government to place emphasis on planning with data and conduct census exercise regularly.

“No nation plans its development programmes without adequate data. Little wonder governments at all levels are planning blindly without adequate data, resulting in underdevelopment”, he said.

Ambassador Ajadi added, “I hereby call on the federal government to place emphasis on planning with data and conduct census exercise regularly.”
