Nigeria must remain indivisible entity – Ilorin emir

The Emir of llorin, Alhaji lbrahim Sulu-Gambari, yesterday urged stakeholders to ensure that the country remained an indivisible entity to enable it maintain its enviable leadership position in Africa.
Sulu-Gambari spoke in Ilorin, the Kwara state capital, while playing host to the executive members of Gambji Club led by its President General, Dr Yusuf Laro, in his palace.

The royal father, who advised politicians to play the game according to its rules, noted that no meaningful development could be achieved in an atmosphere of rancour and acrimony.
He charged Nigerians, irrespective of political party affiliations, tribes or background, to ensure that the country remained an indivisible entity.

The traditional ruler, who recalled political activities during the First and Second Republics, expressed optimism that the forthcoming general elections would be violence-free.
Earlier, Laro said they were at the palace to intimate the Emir on the Gamji Day celebration slated for Saturday in Ilorin.
He solicited the cooperation and support of the royal father towards the success of the programme
