The Nigeria-Israeli Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture has advised the federal government to be always guided by available data in the respective areas of its policies in the fight against coronavirus.
A statement made available to newsmen in Kaduna, Sunday and signed by the National President, Shebeti Sule, stated that there was the need for setting up a Private Sector Donations Scheme to cushion the effects of the COVID-19 scourge.
He said government must consider the economic consequences that will follow in an attempt to lift the lockdown without a proper examination of all the inadequate facilities that are abound in the country.
Sule said, “we are concerned about the economic effect taking into account of all medical and scientific theories for the prevention of this world pandemic disease.”
The president stated that there was the need for tightening of security to prevent criminality especially in the farming communities, while calling on government to ease the availability of affordable fertilisers and chemicals.
