The National Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Mr. Uche Secondus has described Nigeria as a country in crisis. The PDP chairman, accompanied by three governors and other leaders of the party were in Benue to pay a solidarity visit to the Benue state Governor, Samuel Ortom, at the Benue Government House. The dignitaries who accompanied him included Governor Ibrahim Dankwambo, Gombe, Darius Dickson Ishaku, Taraba, Bayelsa state, Seriake Dickson, the National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan, and Emmanuel Agbo, Deputy National Secretary, among others.
Speaking during the visit Secondus, said they were in the state to pay a solidarity visit to Benue and governor Ortom who he said was being persecuted by the APC because he stood with his people.
He said there was need for all Nigerians to stand against the style of leadership run by the APC Government. The PDP chairman noted that Nigeria was weeping tears of blood under the APC government and Nigerian must work together to stop the killings in the country in order to end flow of blood of the innocent people.
He said: “Ortom has stood with the ordinary people on the streets and that is why the APC is persecuting him. Nigeria is a nation in crisis; we must stand and resist APC style of leadership to stop the killing because blood is flowing.
“All false allegations against the Ortom are nothing but to drag him down.
That is why we have come to encourage him to stand firm and strong as he has always been with the people,” he added.
