NDLEA stages 1st annual conference for assistant superintendents in Lagos

The Lagos Strategic Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) successfully hosted its inaugural annual conference for Assistant Superintendents of Narcotics (ASN) I and II, held at its NDLEA Office, 1st Rainbow, Festac, Lagos.

The conference, themed “Consolidate the War Against Drug Abuse,” brought together distinguished officers and colleagues to deepen understanding of the challenges in combating drug abuse and illicit trafficking.

The historic gathering reaffirmed the agency’s unwavering commitment to its core mandate and highlighted the strength, unity, and professionalism within its ranks.

In his opening remarks, the Commander of the Lagos Strategic Command CN, Abubakar Liman, expressed his honour and deep sense of responsibility in welcoming all participants.

He emphasised the timeliness and critical nature of the conference theme amidst evolving operational challenges.

He underscored the importance of strategic leadership, continuous capacity development, and inter-agency collaboration in strengthening the fight against the destructive illicit drug trade.

The Commander commended the assistant superintendents for their dedication, professionalism, and sacrifice, recognising their vital roles in enforcement, prevention, education, and restoring hope in affected communities.

He urged participants to engage purposefully, deliberately clearly, and contribute meaningfully to chart a more effective future course.

As the conference drew to a close, the Commander expressed profound gratitude for the active participation, valuable contributions, and unwavering commitment of every attendee.

He emphasised that the insights shared, experiences exchanged, and strategies proposed had laid a solid foundation for future action.

He reiterated that the theme, must guide their efforts as they return to their respective commands.
