Nasarawa state House of Assembly yesterday suspended the screening of 16 commissioner- nominees till today.
Speaker of the Assembly, Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, who made the disclosure yesterday during plenary, even though it could not give further reasons for the suspension
During their deliberation, the members argued that the screening of the nominees should be put on hold until when security issue had been addressed.

The member representing Kokona East, Daniel Oga Ogazy, also moved a motion that the screening be postponed until the state government approved the suspension of the Nasarawa State University, Keffi, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Muhammad Akaro Mainoma, which was recommended by the House.

The motion was seconded by Muhammed Muluku, the member representing Nasarawa Eggon East.
But Blueprint gathered that the suspension would not be unconnected with the non-payment of their allowances by Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura.
It would be recalled that last week the governor forwarded the list of 16 commissioner- nominees to be appointed into the state executive council.
