The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa state has again passed a vote of confidence on Governor Abdullahi Sule, in recognition of the laudable achievements recorded  by his administration.

This was part of the resolutions at the State Executive Committee (SEC) meeting of the party held at the state secretariat of the party in Lafia, Tuesday.

The resolution read by the secretary of the party, Hon. Yarus G. Daguza, stated that the Nasarawa APC passed a vote of confidence on Governor Sule for his effective and efficient piloting of the affairs of the state since he mounted the saddle of leadership, as evident in the execution of transformative projects across all sectors of the economy.

The SEC commended the governor for the efficient way and manner he led the party and conducted of the recent one-day official working visit to the state by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“We acknowledge that the presidential visit was successful mainly because of the governor’s exemplary leadership, a quality which the president applauded,” the party stated.

The SEC also aligned itself with all the submissions made by Governor Sule at a recent meeting of the party’s stakeholders in Keffi and noted with delight  his emphasis on strengthening internal party democracy in the conduct of free, fair and transparent primaries.

“Just as we equally align our views on governorship aspirants of the party not to overheat the polity, but rather conduct themselves with decorum and maturity, awaiting release of the party guidelines and timetable for conduct of primaries,” the SEC added.

The SEC also passed a vote of confidence on the state APC chairman, Dr. Aliyu Bello, for his commitment to the development of the party, particularly in the face of the many interests and tendencies that exist in large political parties like the APC.

Reviewing recent events within the party, the SEC condemned in strong terms what it described as the move of some exco members in Gayam ward of Lafia local government area, to bring confusion and division in the party, thereby embarrassing the leadership of the party in the state.

The SEC resolved that a proper investigation should be conducted with a view to identifying the culprits and their sponsors, with appropriate disciplinary measures taken against any party official found to be involved in the unconstitutional act.

The SEC members noted with concern various unfortunate incidents of flood and violence that occurred recently in states of Benue, Plateau, and Niger.

“The APC and its teeming members in Nasarawa state join Governor Sule, to commiserate with these three neighbouring states, as we pray for the repose of the souls of those who lost their lives. We equally pray that God will replace in multiples the assets and wealth of all those who incurred material losses,” the resolutions read s in part.
