Napoli under pressure ‘to let Osimhen go’

Napoli may be playing a hard-to-get game as it concerns the transfer of Victor Osimhen, but transfer experts said the pressure is on the Serie A champions to sell the striker this summer.

Osimhen, 24, has a contract with Napoli till June 2025, but should he not sign a new deal as proposed by the club, his transfer valuation will drop by next year when he would then have just a year left on his contract and he will most likely be sold cheaper.

Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis has disclosed he has an agreement in principle for Osimhen to now extend his contract for two more years.

Napoli and Osimhen representatives are due to meet soon to hammer out an agreement.

Napoli have reportedly demanded for 150 Million Euros for their striker, but it is understood they will consider any offer in excess of 100 Million Euros.

They splashed over 70 Million Euros to sign Osimhen from Lille three years ago.
