The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) weekend announced that the return flight operation for the Nigerian pilgrims from the 2025 hajj exercise is scheduled to commence on Friday, June 13, 2025, corresponding to the 17th of Dhul Hijjah in the Islamic calendar.
Chairman/CEO of NAHCON, Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman, stated this in Mina, Saudi Arabia, while extending his Eid al-Adha greetings to the entire Muslim Ummah.
Professor Saleh said the initial phase of return flights will transport pilgrims from Imo state (via Air Peace), Bauchi state (via Max Air), and Kebbi and Sokoto states (via Flynas), back to Nigeria.
He urged pilgrims scheduled for these early batches to prepare for their departure and to offer prayers for the smooth continuation of the entire return operation.
“We appreciate the exemplary conduct of Nigerian pilgrims during this sacred journey. Your discipline and cooperation have contributed greatly to a successful hajj,” Professor Saleh stated.
The NAHCON chairman also took the opportunity to express profound gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima for their unwavering support, which he described as “instrumental” to the seamless hajj operations this year.
