NAASMES will promote export oriented SMEs, empower women, youth – Ministerial committee

The Nigeria-Afroasia Small and Medium Enterprises Exhibition Summit (NAASMES) 2024 will attract investments to critical sectors of the economy in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu the Inter-ministerial Committee has said.

In a statement issued in Abuja by the Inter-ministerial Committee, Nigeria AfroAsia SMEs Exhibition and Summit 2024 said the 2024 summit, noted that it is a contribution to the Renewed Hope Initiative of the Tinubu administration, and will be about promoting export-oriented SMEs and empowering women and youth for global market access.

It said the target sectors includes; Textiles, Leather, ICT, the blue economy, aquaculture and fisheries, CNG, agro-allieds, technology, agriculture, solid minerals, and more.

The Interministerial committee called on Nigerians to join the Pre event visit to Vietnam from September 29 2024, and the venue is the Velodrome, National Stadium, Abuja, from the 19th to the 21st of November 2024, for the grand event.

According to the statement, the summit will feature interactive workshops, competitions, and networking with industry leaders, and engagement with government and international delegations.

“In addition to innovating, Networking, Showcasing, and Connecting, NAASMES 2024 is expected to
Unlock global market access for Nigeria’s SMEs to aid economic diversification and growth.,” it said.
