My anointed aspirant will defeat G-8, Yari boasts

Zamfara state Governor, Alhaji Abdulaziz Yari has boasted that his anointed candidate, Alhaji Muktar Shehu Idris, will defeat the group of eight who kicked against his decision to endorse him as consensus gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressive Congress for the 2019 elections.
The governor made the declaration yesterday at the grand rally held at Gusau airstrip, saying what he did was based on the constitution governing the party as well as tradition made by the previous leaders by using his position as leader of the state to anoint who he thinks will take the state to highest level.
Governor Yari said the governorship primaries in the state will be tough as it could be a no nonsense contest.
“I want to declare that the governorship primary elections be it indirect or direct system would be no nonsense as we will not allow some unpatriotic politicians to disrupt it and we shall defeat them in a decorous manner,” the governor stated.
