Captain of the Super Falcons, Rasheedat Ajibade, on Saturday paid a heartfelt visit to the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), where she presented her WAFCON 2024 medal and individual awards to the church’s General Overseer, Pastor Daniel Olukoya, and his wife, Shade Olukoya.

The visit took place during the monthly Power Must Change Hands programme at MFM’s headquarters in Lagos, drawing a high-profile audience that included Lagos State First Lady Dr. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu and the state’s Chief of Staff, Tayo Ayinde.

Ajibade, a former MFM FC Women’s player, offered her accolades — including her Woman of the Match trophy — as a symbol of gratitude and spiritual dedication. She also gifted the Olukoyas a personalised Super Falcons jersey with “OLUKOYA 01” emblazoned on the back.

Pastor Olukoya later took to Instagram to celebrate the gesture, calling it a testimony of divine faithfulness.

“We celebrate the faithfulness of God in the life of our very own Rasheedat Ajibade. We give God all the glory for His grace upon her life and pray that the same grace that has brought her and the team this far will continue to lead them into even greater victories,” he wrote.

Ajibade, who currently plays for Atlético Madrid Femenino in Spain, is widely admired for her deep Christian faith and her ongoing ties to her spiritual upbringing at MFM. Her journey from MFM FC to international football stardom has made her a role model both within and beyond sports circles.

Her visit follows Nigeria’s recent triumph at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco, where the Super Falcons edged the host nation 3-2 in a dramatic final to claim their 12th title. Ajibade, 25, captained the team and made crucial contributions throughout the tournament.

The event served not only as a moment of celebration but also as a reminder of the enduring connection between faith, discipline, and excellence in sport.
