Minjibir emerges MHWUN president

Comrade Comrade Kabiru Ado Minjibir has been elected as the president of Medical and Health Workers Union of Nigeria (MHWUN).

He is  to pilot the affairs of the union for the next four years.

This was the outcome of the just concluded 11th quadrennial National Delegates Conference of the Medical and Health Workers Union of Nigeria (MHWUN) held from the 4th to the 9th of March, 2024 at the NAF Conference Centre, Abuja.

Other elected officers of the union are Comrade Goodluck Ofobruku as the deputy president. 

The National Vice Presidents of the union are Sunday Adetula, South-west; Satomi Hikama, North east; Husseini Hamisu Yanduna, North west; Saheed Muritala Olayinka, North central; Ogbonnaya Okoro, South-east and Barnabas C. Simon South-south.

Also elected are Comrade Chinwe Orizu as National Treasurer, Comrade Olufemi Adebisi as National Trustee and Dennis Nyam as National Publicity Secretary.

According to a statement signed by head of Information and Public Relations of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Comrade Benson Upah, members of the National Executive Council (NEC) are Olalibo Tubotamuno Gogo Kingsley, South-south;

Fidelis Ngwam, North central; Tinuke Sobowale Daini, South-west; and Comrade Aminu Ikara representing  North-West.

Other NEC members are Ibrahim Mohammed, North-East, Comrade Eze Emmanuel, South-East; Jude Ugwoke, South-East, Jawali G. Mohammed, North-East, Abdullahi Aliyu Jangle, North-west; Benedict Ukpepi, South-south; Adekunjo Folashade Juliana, South-west and Aisha Abdullahi Erena, North-central.

In his acceptance speech, Comrade Minjibir assured of his resolve to pursue the welfare of MHWUN members.
