A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo state, Engr Oyedele Alao, on Monday, advised Nigerians to make judicious use their Permanent Voter Cards (PVC) to elect credible individuals in the 2023 polls.
Engineer Alao in a message issued by his media office to congratulate Christians and the entire people of Oyo on the Christmas and New Year festivals said it was only by electing credible people that Oyo state and the country could move forward.”
He stressed that with this, the people of Oyo state would be able to rescue democracy and the state with the forthcoming general election which provided opportunity for the people to make judicious use their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).
“It is important for the people to make it part of their New Year resolution that they will play their constitutional roles to ensure that there is a peaceful, credible, free and transparent election in February and March 2023”.
The APC Chieftain added, “the coming election provides an opportunity for the people to make judicious use their Permanent Voter Cards (PVC) to elect credible individuals that would move the state and the country forward.”
Engr. Alao while charging the people of Oyo state to reflect on the basic tenets of Christianity which harped on perseverance, faithfulness, determination and peace, said “irrespective of our religious affiliations, we can draw immense strength and inspiration from the enduring legacies of the life of Jesus Christ who sacrificed his life for the redemption of our souls.”
He then urged Christians to use the festive occasions to pray for unity, peace and prosperity of the state as the forthcoming general election provides the people with the opportunity to rescue democracy and the state.
“I wish the people of the state a merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year. I want to call on Christians, in particular, and the entire people, to emulate the virtues of Christ, who through self-sacrifice brought salvation to humanity.”
