The Chairman of Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Christopher Zakka Maikalangu, on Friday began the inspection of some of the completed and on-going projects undertaken by his administration since assumption of office in 2022.
At Garki, Maikalangu inspected the renovation of seven classrooms in LEA Primary School, expressing satisfaction with the work done.
He assured the school that they would get additional 10 teachers before the end of February, saying the gesture was to encourage learning activities.
In the same Garki, Maikalangu made a stop-over at the Primary Healthcare Centre (PHC), where he inspected the renovation of the buildings, including the addition of a block to the facility.
At Durumi 3, Maikalangu inspected the construction of a three- classroom block with office and toilets, expressing displeasure with the contractor for using inferior ceilings for the construction and demanded their replacement with modern ceilings.
He also inspected the ongoing construction of a 600-metre road project with dual drainage and the ongoing construction of a PHC.
At Waru community, Maikalangu inspected an on-going 2.5km Waru-Yimitu road project with a dual drainage system.
At Galadimawa, he inspected an ongoing construction of a 300-metre road with dual drainage; at Kuchigoro, Maikalangu inspected the rehabilitation of an access road.
At Lugbe, Maikalangu inspected an ongoing 2-km Lugbe by primary school road project with dual drainage; at Gosa, Maikalangu inspected a 2.4-km completed road project with dual drainage.
At Toge community, which is just immediately after Gosa, along Airport Road, Maikalangu inspected a completed 1.5-kilometre road with dual drainage.
At Sabo Lugbe, where the chairman of AMAC inspected a completed 1-km road project, he addressed the media, saying all the projects were sited in rural communities for them to have a taste of dividends of democracy.
At Pyakasa, Maikalangu supervised the on-going construction of a town hall, which was at 60 per cent completion.
