Lobi safe hand set goals record

Lobi Stars ace Terka Melai has set a new record in the Nigeria league after he became the first goalkeeper to score six goals in a season.
The previous record was held by Dele Aiyenugba, who scored thrice from the penalty spot for Enyimba in the 2004/05 season.
Melai scored his sixth goal of the season in a 2-0 win over Rangers on Sunday in a Week 32 game in Katsina-Ala, Benue state.
The goalkeeper has scored all his goals from the penalty spot.
He scored his first goal in Week 3 in a 2-0 win over Gombe United. He then scored in 1-0 win over Kaduna United in Week 5 and he was also the match winner in a 1-0 win over Nembe City in a Week 7 game.
He was also on target in a Week 16 game, which Lobi won 2-0, before he again emerged match winner against Enyimba in Week 28.
Sharks goalkeeper Danladi Isah has scored four goals so far this season, with a brace in the week 9 2-0 win over El Kanemi Warriors becoming the first keeper to score a brace in the history of the Nigeria league.
