Nembe City has been sanctioned by the League Management Company (LMC), ducked points, had their Coaches suspended and fined as a consequence of their abandoning the Match Day 31 fixture against Gombe United at the Krisdera Hotel Stadium in Omoku and unruly conduct of the Coaches .
The two officials are the Head Coach, John Aranka and the Goalkeeper’s Trainer, Felix Levi who were each suspended for one year for unruly conduct.
These decisions were announced yesterday by the LMC Chief Operating Officer, Salihu Abubakar who emphasized that the rulings were without prejudice to further decisions that may be reached on the matter by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Organising and Disciplinary Committee.
It will be recalled that the match was abandoned on the 89th minute with scores at 2-2 when Nembe City players were ordered out of the pitch by the Coaches to protest a penalty awarded to Gombe United.

Nembe City were further penalized with three points deduction from their already accrued points of the season while the abandoned game was awarded to Gombe United with three points and three goals.
The LMC slammed a one year suspension on each of the two Coaches for acts of misconduct as they were found to have incited their players to abandon the game when a penalty was awarded against their team. The conduct of the Coaches is contrary to the Code of Conduct for Managers and Coaches.
