Sokoto
A member representing Gudu constituency in the Sokoto state House of Assembly, Alhaji Sani Yakubu, has donated items worth over N1million to victims of flood disaster in Bachaka town of Gudu local government.
Making the presentation, Sani said that the donation was aimed at alleviating the suffering of the victims.
Sani, who visited the town also said the donation was not in any
way to compensate them, but ‘’it is only Allah that can compensate you, mine is only to alleviate your sufferings.
‘’My visit is to console over the unfortunate incidence, consider it as an act of Allah and continue praying he alone can compensate you ‘’I ‘ll report the ugly incident to the appropriate authorities for prompt and quick intervention’’ the law maker explained.
He prayed the Almighty God to protect the town against urther occurrence.
Receiving the money, on behalf of the victims, the district head,
Alhaji Abdullahi Bachaka, thanked the member for the gesture and assured justice in the sharing of the money.
He pray the almighty God to continue to protect the law maker for what he has been doing to people of Gudu especially in the area of girl child education
