The African Democratic Congress (ADC) Lagos state chapter has welcomed a new development as Oriyomi Folawiyo and his family have identified with the party.
The Folawiyo family, a prominent and influential family in Apapa, Lagos, has thrown its weight behind the ADC’s vision for a better Lagos.
This was disclosed by the ADC spokesperson in Lagos state Mabel Oboh in a statement.
Part of the statement reads, “The Folawiyo family is well-known for its business acumen and philanthropic efforts. Alhaji Iyanda Folawiyo, the family patriarch, is a respected entrepreneur and industrialist. His children have followed in his footsteps, significantly contributing to the economy and society.
“Oriyomi Folawiyo, the 4th child of Alhaji Iyanda Folawiyo, is a graduate of Texas Southern University. He is a member of the Board of Trustees (BOT) of the Folawiyo Group of Companies, a conglomerate with interests in various sectors of the economy.
“The Folawiyo family’s decision to join the ADC Lagos Coalition is a significant boost for the party and all its supporters for a better Lagos.”

“We look forward to working with them to build a better Lagos for all. Our party’s vision for a prosperous and equitable society aligns with the Folawiyo family’s values of hard work, entrepreneurship, and community service, ” Lagos state chairman, George Ashiru, said.
“The Folawiyo family is a prominent business family in Nigeria, with interests in various sectors of the economy. They are known for their entrepreneurial spirit, business acumen, and philanthropic efforts,” the statement said.
Oboh added that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) is a progressive party committed to building a better Lagos for all.
“Our party’s vision is to create a society that is prosperous, equitable, and just. We believe in the power of the people to shape their destiny and are committed to empowering citizens to participate in the democratic
process. ADC is a moving train with enough room for all Nigerians that hungry for a better Lagos,” she said.
