Kyari’s death: APC state chairmen mourn, condole with Buhari

The forum of the state All Progressives Congress Chairmen has commiserated the President Muhammadu Buhari on the death of Mallam Abba Kyari, his Chief of Staff.


The chairman of the forum, who is also the Borno state APC chairman, Hon. Ali Bukar Dalori, in a statement Tuesday in Abuja said the death of Abba Kyari would really affect the leadership of APC “as he was the go between for the party and the President.”

Dalori said that the death of Kyari should be a signpost for Nigerians on the issue of Coronavirus pandemic and to take stay at home serious, giving the fact that he (Kyari) got all the necessary medical attention needed.

He expressed the condolences of the Forum to the President, the national leadership of APC, Born state government, Borno state APC and to the family.

He also cautioned those jostling to replace the late Abba Kyari, noting that is a job of a confidant that assist the President achieve his aims in governance.

He said one of those hit most by the death of Abba Kyari outside the President is the Borno APC and Borno people, where the late Kyari came from.

In the statement, the Borno state chairman said, “we the Forum of the State All Progressives Congress Chairmen commiserate with President Muhammadu Buhari on the death of Mallam Abba Kyari.

“Kyari, who was the Chief of Staff to the President until his death was a go between for the President and the national leadership of APC.

“This role, he played well that assisted in the stability of the party.

“We commiserate also with the government of Borno State, Borno APC and the deceased family.

“It is pertinent that we state that those jostling to replace Abba Kyari should know that it s a job of confidant, who will help the President to achieve his goals in governance.

“The Forum calls on the leadership of APC to find a way to help in stablizing the President and possibly recommend somebody that would an assets as a Chief of Staff.”
