Kogi: Ododo condoles with Shettima over demise of step mother 

 

Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo of Kogi state has condoled with Vice President Kashim Shettima over the death of his step mother, Hajia Hauwa Kormi. The matriarch died in the early hours of Thursday at the age of 69 in Maiduguri, the Borno state capital.

The governor in a message issued by his media aide, Ismaila Isah, Friday,  described the death of Hajia Hauwa Kormi as a great loss to the family of Vice President Kashim Shettima and the people of Borno state.

Governor Ododo urged the vice president and his family to take solace in the fact that the late Hajia Hauwa led a fulfilled life that was characterised by the fear of Almighty Allah. 

“As Muslims believe that death is the divine end of our journey on earth and the late Hajia Hauwa Kormi, the step mother of Vice President Kashim Shettima, has completed her assignment on earth”, the governor noted. 

He prayed for the peaceful repose of the soul of the deceased and for Allah to grant the vice president and his family the fortitude to bear the loss.
