Kebbi state chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abubakar Muhammad Kana, has stated that the state would continue to flourish under the ruling APC administration of Governor Nasir Idris.
Kana was reacting to reports on social media linking the governor to alleged decamping to another party.
Addressing hundreds of APC stakeholders, including the governor, his deputy, former governor Dakingari and the Speaker of the state assembly, the Chairman affirmed that, the gathering was to bare the facts and clear the misinformation.
“The APC in Kebbi and the entire population are satisfied about the excellent performance of Governor Nasir Idris at state level and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Federal level”.
“We are committed to working for their second tenure in office to continue with the good works already started”, Kana remarked.
Speaking to APC members amidst accolades of “mun daga yatsa biyu” (we have raised two fingers up), indicating his second term as governor, Comrade Nasir Idris said it was imperative to summon the political forum to tell the truth.
“Some people hiding in the shadows have been dishing out misinformation and falsehood about me and my administration”,
“Such unpatriotic persons without the Fear of GOD are sponsoring young men to engage in sinister writeups for ulterior motives”,
“Since before I became Governor, God has made me a compassionate and benevolent personality.
“Everybody has seen how politics is played in Kebbi, but God has destined that I should become governor”,
“From assumption of power to date, my administration has recorded tremendous achievement in all strata of life to uplift the living standard of our Communities’,
“Such persons with bad intention felt bitter because they thought that I can’t perform.
“The essence of the gang up against me is to scuttle Kauran Gwandu’s 2nd term in office, they will fail; I have my trust in God Almighty, and is already manifesting.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu refers to me as ‘the last man standing’, Kebbi is an APC state, it will suffice and prosper.
“We remain resolute in our support to President Tinubu and confidence in his administration, now and in the next tenure, to continue to deliver the dividends of democracy to the citizenry”,
Others who spoke at the stakeholders meeting reaffirmed support to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Nasir Idris under the APC for success in good governance leading to 2nd tenure in office.
