Kaduna Electric staff donates blood to hospital

In an exceptional display of the positive side of humanity, a staff of Kaduna Electric has donated blood to Yusuf Dantsoho Memorial Hospital, Tudun Wada, Kaduna.

The exercise which took place recently at the corporate headquarters of the  company saw the staff voluntarily donating blood for the benefits of the less privileged patients at the hospital.

A statement signed by Head, Corporate Communication of the company, Abdulazeez Abdullahi, described the gesture as a response to the company’s long established tradition of providing support and assistance to communities within the company’s franchise area.

“It is in line with the corporate social responsibility policy of the company to give back to the society and support the developmental aspiration of our  host communities and other less previledge members of the society”, he said.

The leader of the team from Dantosho Hospital, Mr. Ibrahim commended the staff of Kaduna Electric for the act of charity and described the gesture as timely and you which will go a long way in saving lives of the people, especially the down-trodden members of the society and appealed to other cooperate organisation to emulate the gesture of the staff of the electricity distribution company.
