Justice Olotu sues Jonathan, NJC over sack

Retired Justice Glady Olotu has dragged the National Judicial Council (NJC) before a Federal High Court in Abuja, for the enforcement of her fundamental human right.

Justice Olotu filed a motion exparte seeking an order of certiorari for judicial review of her suspension and recommendation for retirement by the NJC.

Joined in the suit are President Goodluck Jonathan, NJC, Chief Justice of Nigeria, Maryam Muhktar, the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Mohammed Adoke and the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, Ibrahim Auta.

The presiding judge, Hon. Justice Adeniyi Ademola, granted the application and adjourned hearing to March 19, 2014.
All parties are to be served with the motion.
