The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), Bishop Stephen Adegbite, has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Nigerians for the 26 years of unbroken democracy.

According to the NCPC boss, Nigeria’s steady and workable democracy since 1999 is a feat worth celebrating.

This was contained in a press statement released Thursday in Abuja by the Commission’s Head of Media and Public Relations, Celestine Toruka.

The statement added that Bishop Adegbite urged President Tinubu to continue to ensure that “Nigerians reap the dividends of democracy through his Renewed Hope Agenda.”

He admonished Nigerians to have faith in God and the present administration for guidance and direction, enjoining spiritual leaders to uphold the president, his team, and Nigeria in prayer for economic growth.

Furthermore, the NCPC boss urged security agencies to build strong synergy to fight terrorism, banditry, and kidnapping in the country.

He expressed optimism that despite the challenges, “Nigeria will soon overcome them,” emphasising the importance of faith and prayer in guiding the nation.
