The Jama’atu Izalatil Bid’ah Wa’iqamatis Sunnah (JIBWIS) will hold a major mosque inauguration and national preaching event in Sokoto on April 18 and 19, 2025, group national publicity secretary Hon. Ahmad Ashitu has said.
He said in a press release Tuesday that the event will hold under the leadership of Sheikh Muhammad Sani Yahaya Jingir.
“The two-day gathering will include the formal opening of a new mosque and sermons from prominent Islamic scholars,” he said.
Hon Ashiru said the event also has as special guests, Governor Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, while His Eminence, the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, is the patron of the event.
He said renowned scholars scheduled to preach include Sheikh Yusuf Sambo Rigachukun, Sheikh Dalha Abubakar Kantana, Aliyu Alhassan Sangei and many others.
Hon. Ashiru and other notable figures to grace the event are: Sokoto satate Commissioner for Religious Affairs, Dr. Jabir Sani Mai Hulla and Sheikh Abubakar Usman Mabera, who will co-host the event.
