It was stated that since the last king in Iresa Adu passed away ,there has been no king on the throne of that town until now

Last week, Mogaji of the Emiolu family received a message from Gbelegbo, a guest in Ogbomoso, where Prince Olanipekun Julius confirmed that the Emiolu family indeed holds a title.

Mogaji Olanipekun mentioned that the traditional leadership structure of the town has been in place since its inception, and that only two families have ruled the town.

This elder stated that the Emiolu family has been the one to bear theburden before the current family took the throne, and that after the last king, the Emiolu family also contested, but this family is unwilling to accept the position now.

Mogaji stated that the Emiolu family has written letter to the local and state government, but response not yet received till now. The elder also appealed to Governor Seyi Makinde to address the issue of the kingship in Iresa Adu because it is not good for the town to exist without a king on the throne.

A lawyer named Pelumi Olajengbesi has also approached Governor Seyi Makinde to address the matter of the kingship in Iresa Adu under the local government of Surulere, in Oyo State.

Oba Jimoh Oyeyemi Oloyede, who served as king for 18 years, passed away six years ago, and the throne has been vacant till date
