Iran’s Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, has condemned the US strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities.
Recall that the US government on Saturday claimed to have carried out a very successful attack on three major nuclear sites in Iran.
Reacting, Iranian leaders while downplaying the incident, warned that the attack will have “everlasting consequences,” and requested an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council.
In a post on X on Sunday, Iran’s foreign Minister also described the action as outrageous.
According to him, Iran reserves all options to defend its sovereignty, interests, and people.
“The events this morning are outrageous and will have everlasting consequences,” Abbas Araghchi said in a post on X, adding that Iran “reserves all options to defend its sovereignty, interests, and people.”
There has not yet been an official response from Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
The Israel-Iran conflict has entered its second week, with both sides still trading strikes. After the US strikes, Israel’s military said Iran fired a fresh wave of missiles toward the country.
