Insecurity: Aide recommends Uba Sani’s security strategy to other states

The non-Kinetic strategy adopted by the Kaduna state governor, Senator Uba Sani to end insecurity in the state, has been recommended to other states facing a similar problem to emulate.

The Special Adviser on Rural Development to Governor, Alhaji Shehu Aminu Abdullahi, said the model, if adopted by other states, will go a long way to reduce the issue of insecurity to the barest minimum. 

He said the model which involved all the stakeholders in the state and those allegedly involved in the crimes of banditry and kidnapping will certainly help the government and the people of the state to benefit from the dividends of democracy.

Speaking on Monday in Kaduna, after a tour of Giwa local government area of the state, Alhaji Abdullahi, described the initiative as commendable, because it prioritise community engagement, social inclusion and economic empowerment for the citizens.

The Special Adviser stated that the tour offered him an on-the-spot assessment on the conditions of rural infrastructures in the area visited especially on roads and bridges and other social services, which he has evaluated and will provide recommendations for government intervention.

According to him, the efforts of the state government to provide amenities, particularly in the areas previously under the menace of banditry and kidnapping were yielding positive result, as many activities were now back in those areas.

He said all things that were neglected in the past were now coming back to life under the present administration, he remarked.

Abdullahi advised those against the kinetic model in the state to find everlasting peace, be reminded that in the absence of peace and peaceful co-existence, no society can move forward or develop, adding that even in war period, the issue of peace become paramount.

He, therefore, recommended the Kaduna Peace Accord to all the states government and the federal government for peace to reign everywhere in the country.

Alhaji Abdullahi said Governor Sani was committed to provide reliefs to all the communities in the state, through rehabilitation of all social amenities, to improve the quality of life and enhance economic opportunities.

He commended Sani for his strategic approach in restoring peace in the entire state, adding that his recent visit to Giwa, Yakarwada, Gadagau (store), Patika, Kaya Randa and Galadimawa, Patika, Bataro, among others, in Giwa local government area, revealed a testament of effective governance by the governor.
