Anambra state governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, Saturday, said his administration was committed towards upholding and promoting the state’s ideology of enterprise and industrious living.

Soludo disclosed this in Awka, the state capital while addressing some Nollywood stars and members of late Senator Ifeanyi Ubah’s political structure who were inspecting the about to be completed new government house and other infrastructural projects.

According to the governor, this was why the administration aside embarking on various developmental projects across 21 Local Government Areas (LGA) was equally investing into human capital development through training and empowerments.

He added that the ideology was also why his administration launched Operation Udo Ga-Achi security outfit aimed at sanitising the state of violence crimes, including kidnapping, killings, yahoo yahoo (online scams), okeite and other fraudulent acts.

“We have trained over 5000 youths and empowered them with over N50 billion. About four weeks ago, 1000 of them who described themselves as proud young millionaires came to me and said they will be training another 1000 youth free of charge. We are also training another 8,300 youths. This year we will be dolling out some billions to empower youth as well.

“There are also over 20,000 people we trained in ICT, technology and so on. Our target is to train over 100,000. We are building their skills and capacities to excel in their areas of endeavours. That is why I said we are just starting. Anambra must be that state with difference. As ‘A’ state, we will always remain the best.

“We are against this new ideology of get rich quick syndrome. Igbo ideology is that aka aja aja na-ebute onu mmanu mmanu (he who works must eat). We won’t allow evil to thrive in our dear State. That is why we are against okeite, yahoo (cyber crime) and kidnapping in our State. We are Anambra. Anambra State is known for enterprise. Anambra State is known for industriousness,” he added.

Earlier, two Nollywood stars, Mr Stephen Alajemba (Uwaezuoke), Mr Collins Mounagor (Nche) and Hon. Kamen Chuks of the late Senator Ifeanyi Ubah’s political structure extolled the governor’s developmental projects and ideologies, even as they vowed to school others to support the administration in moving the state to greater heights.
