Receiving researchers from the council on inspection tour of facilities for the project, Professor Adamu affirmed that it will solve the problem of food insecurity in the country.

Represented by the deputy vice chancellor, Administration, Professor Hassan Ibrahim, the vice chancellor said the university is ready for the collaboration.

He said, “I want to assure the delegation that IBBUL has qualified researchers that would produce the manpower for promotion and production of indigenous food in the country. The university is always ready to promote agricultural revolution in Nigeria.”

Earlier in his remarks, the executive secretary of the ARCN, Professor Garba Hamidu Sharubu, stated that the council was on resource verification exercise to the university.

“It is necessary to see facilities in the university, especially manpower and other agricultural inputs before going into the agreement. I want to assure that a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) would be signed immediately if the council is satisfied with the readiness of the university,” he said.
