I “II never divert Edo money,  Okpebholo assures 

The Edo state governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has pledged his administration’s commitment to effectively utilise funds from the Federal Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) for the well-being of residents.

Okpebholo said, he will embark on projects that will be beneficial to Edo people and make life better for them, adding, “my administration will never divert Edo peoples money.”

The governor disclosed this after inspecting on-going projects currently at various levels of completion in the State.

According to him, “Edo State gets its allocation from FAAC, and that money under my watch will be utilised effectively and efficiently.

“We assure that Edo money will be used to work for Edo people as my administration will never divert Edo peoples money.”

Continuing on the projects, Okpebholo gave marching orders to contractors handling various works across the State to ensure they work according to specifications and deliver quality jobs.

He assured that his administration will embark on more people-oriented projects that will benefit the people.

The governor noted that his administration has completed the Upper Ekenhuan road up to the Nigeria Army Cantonment, and promised that work on the Igo community axis of the road, in Ovia North East local government area will commence soon.

He stated, “Do you remember this road? The first day we were just passing here, people came out to complain about this bad road. 

“We have awarded this portion of the road. You will see contractors soon. We have completed the sections leading here.

“Edo State has keyed into Mr. President’s Renewed Hope Agenda for Edo people and Nigerians. We are here to work for the people, and in the next few days, work will commence here.”
