A business management company, Crustos Consult, has said it is working to advance the development the continent through Africa Business Leadership and Investment Summit (ABLIS) scheduled to hold between October 7 and October 12 in Kigali (Rwanda).
Speaking at a news conference in Abuja, Thursday, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the group, Amb. Shirley Hills, said the summit will attract leaders with diverse knowledge in agricultural and mining sector and discuss how best to transform the Africa continent into a business hub for the whole world.
She said the group identified leadership gaps while conducting assessment and analysis as one of the challenges bedevilling African countries and that most businesses fail due to certain drawbacks.
Hills revealed that lack of exposure and funds are part of the reasons retarding Africa’s growth, adding that the summit will discuss how best to come out of the quagmire.
Also speaking, the Head of Mission of ABLIS, Dr Okechukwu Ani, said the summit is in line with President Bola Tinubu administration’s efforts to renew the dented hope of many Nigerians.
He revealed that the agriculture and mining sector the President hopes to develop will not only boost foreign exchange in Nigeria, but will also grow the country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and reduce unemployment.
