Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Winifred Ekanem Oyo-Ita, has called on the Society of Women Accountants of Nigeria to ensure increase in capacity development of its members.
Oyo-Ita made the call when she received members of the Society in her office in Abuja.
She said training of accountants should be of priority the group, “especially in this era of change as doing so would help drive government’s anti-corruption policy.”
She said accountants should at all times uphold the principles and ethics guiding their profession which include integrity, accountability and efficient service delivery.
Speaking earlier, the chairperson of the Society, Mrs. Titilola Akibayo, congratulated Mrs. Oyo-Ita on her appointment as the Head of the Civil Service.
She said members of the group had resolved to key into the change mantra of the present administration and its fight against corruption.
